Now that training camp is over and the final cuts have been made, Sunday morning marks the first practice of the season for the 2014 Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

It’s a fresh start. A new beginning. A way to say goodbye to the disaster that was the 2013 campaign.

The losses are not going to stop, however, just because the calendar has flipped. Here are four aspects of the game the Bombers must start thinking about on Sunday morning if they’re going to have any hope of making the playoffs this season:

1. Turnovers

Starting on Sunday morning, anyone who commits a turnover at Bomber practice has to leave Investors Group Field, and run to Pembina Highway and back. That should teach them to hang on to the ball a little better.

In the last three seasons the Bombers were 16-2 when they won the turnover battle. They were 3-28 when they lost it. Could there be a more clear indication of why the Bombers struggle year in and year out?
