WINNIPEG - If he can help it, Donavon Kemp would like to avoid the complaints department for the foreseeable future.
Kemp is one of the players who are the bubble when it comes to earning a spot on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers roster going into Saturday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders.
As someone who was working in the real world before his agent phoned him about an opportunity to try out with the Blue Bombers, Kemp knows what could be on the other side if things don’t go his way.
And he’s not ready to give up on his football dream just yet.
“I’m enjoying every second of it,” said Kemp. “A month-and-a-half ago, I was sitting in a cubicle working. There were great managers and everything, but the job just doesn’t fit me. This is where I wanted to be. This is what I grew up loving and wanting to do my entire life.
“I’ve learned to love the process a lot more.”
