Only twice since 2000 have the Winnipeg Blue Bombers had as many picks as there were rounds in the CFL draft.

No CFL team has had fewer picks in the last 14 years than the Bombers.

No CFL team has had fewer first-round picks in the last 14 years than the Bombers. In fact, Ottawa has had as many first-round draft picks (five) as the Bombers since 2000, and they weren't in the league for nine of those 14 years.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Now, those numbers are thanks in large part to former general manager Brendan Taman, who gave away draft picks like they were pennies. He justified his penchant for dealing picks by usually getting an established Canuck in return, but he definitely went overboard. The Bombers didn't have a first-round pick for seven consecutive years, between 2001 and 2007.
