WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have moved most of their home games to 7:30 p.m. starts this year in an attempt to allow fans to get to their seats in time for kickoff.

The organization ran into transportation troubles during the inaugural season at Investors Group Field, so they convinced the CFL to give their fans an extra half hour to get to the games after work.

The Bombers will play their first five home games at 7:30 p.m. Three of their first four contests overall are at IGF. In addition, four of Winnipeg’s five summer home games will take place on Thursday nights. The other is on Friday.

Winnipeg will host Toronto in the CFL season-opener on Thursday, June 26, and then Henry Burris and the Ottawa RedBlacks will come to town for their first regular-season match a week later, on Thursday, July 3. After a trip to Montreal, the Bombers will host the Edmonton Eskimos on Thursday, July 17.
