WINNIPEG - For the first time in several years, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have landed one of the bigger fish in the CFL free agency pool.

After three years of sitting idly by while Joe Mack twiddled his thumbs, the Bombers this afternoon went out and landed the third-leading receiver in the CFL last season, Nick Moore.

Moore, the younger brother of New Orleans Saints receiver Lance Moore, bounced around NFL camps before joining the B.C. Lions late in the 2010 season. He had only 32 catches for 399 yards in 2012 but took off in 2013 with 73 grabs for 1,105 yards and six touchdowns.

Moore, 27, got some NFL looks over the last couple of months, but he instead decided to sign a two-year deal with the Bombers that will pay him handsomely to be the team’s No. 1 receiver. Moore’s signing also leaves the future of Bomber veteran slotback Terrence Edwards in doubt.
