WINNIPEG - If the Winnipeg Blue Bombers get their wish, Henry Burris will be slinging footballs for the Blue and Gold in 2014.

The Bombers began their dogged pursuit of Smilin' Hank, who is fourth on the CFL's career passing yards list, shortly after the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Zach Collaros and released Burris on Thursday afternoon. Burris' agent, Chris Gittings, said his client might make a decision on where to play as soon as Friday.

"I'm talking to teams, gauging interest and in the process of collecting offers," Gittings wrote in an e-mail. "We'll proceed, based on what we gather. We may have a decision as soon as (Friday), but it could just as easily be longer."
