The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added two more members to its coaching staff on Tuesday, although one was already in place.

Queen’s University defensive co-ordinator Pat Tracey was named the squad’s special teams co-ordinator, while Markus Howell will remain as the squad’s wide receivers coach under head coach Mike O’Shea.

Tracey joined the Golden Gaels in 2000 as their special teams coach and recruiting co-ordinator, and he became their defensive co-ordinator in 2001. He became a full-time assistant in 2008 and has history with O’Shea at the University of Guelph. Tracey coached the Gryphons from 1987 to 1997 and again in 1999.

“Pat has a wealth of experience in Canadian football, is a great teacher and has had tremendous success at Queen’s,” O’Shea said in a press release. “His knowledge of CIS athletes will be an asset. We are very excited to add him to our coaching staff."
