WINNIPEG - The CFL expansion draft for the Bombers was much more than losing receivers Wallace Miles and Rory Kohlert, and special teamer James Green to the Ottawa Redblacks.

The most important news of the day for the Blue and Gold was the Redblacks grabbing quarterback Kevin Glenn and Thomas DeMarco as their quarterbacks. That means there’s basically one starting quarterback position left in the CFL, and that’s right here in Winnipeg — even though the Bombers aren’t going to come right out and say it.

“Max Hall would disagree with that,” general manager Kyle Walters said Monday afternoon after the Redblacks plucked 24 players from the CFL’s other eight teams.

Whatever the situation, the point of the story is the Bombers no longer have to worry about trading for a quarterback.
