WINNIPEG - Kyle Walters has been the Bombers permanent GM for only a few hours, and already the team's head coaching situation is starting to come into focus.

The Bombers are talking to Toronto Argonauts special teams co-ordinator Mike O'Shea and Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterbacks coach Khari Jones, and sources close to the team say they are the front-runners to become the club's new head coach and offensive co-ordinator, respectively.

It was originally believed Jones would get the head coaching gig based on his relationship with president and CEO Wade Miller, but it appears Walters, as the GM should, will get to put his choice in charge. There were also rumours Jones didn't want to come to Winnipeg as offensive co-ordinator, so either that has changed or it could be a sticking point in negotiations.
