WINNIPEG - Wallace Miles had just finished his first year of college and was back home in Atlanta, talking to one of his former youth soccer coaches.

Miles had walked on to North Carolina A&T's football team as a kicker but wanted to be a receiver. His old coach suggested he talk to the father of one of the kids on his soccer team at the time. The young soccer player's name was Chase Stegall, and his dad was Milt.

Yes, the same Milt Stegall who just so happened to be one of the greatest receivers in CFL history.

So they set up a session, and Miles learned right off the bat that Stegall didn't mess around when it came to training players.

"I went out there by myself and Milt killed me, but it was the development process," Miles said. "It started from there. I guess I showed something."
