WINNIPEG - Justin Goltz says the media is picking on him again, this time by blowing his touchdown celebration in Saskatchewan out of proportion.
The Blue Bomber quarterback has taken some heat, including from his own head coach, for his “adjusting the tie” routine while also mocking Riders running back Kory Sheets’ own end zone celebrations in Sunday’s Labour Day weekend loss in Regina.
“It was blown out of proportion. It’s another media thing,” Goltz said, as the Bombers returned to practice, Wednesday. “The fact we’re still talking about it a few days later just means it was a distraction.
“You guys like to pick on me, is what it seems like. You guys take something small and like to make a story out of it to produce a headline. Is that far-fetched?”
Actually, there’s been very little coverage of Goltz’s antics, locally.
