WINNIPEG - Kicker Justin Palardy's time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers is over.

The Bombers today cut Palardy after he spent parts of four seasons with the team.

The 25-year-old became expendable after the signing of CFL veteran Sandro DeAngelis two weeks ago.

Last season, Palardy tied the franchise record for field goal percentage (86.7%) after making 39 of 45 tries.

He was 9-for-12 this season, but fell out of favour with head coach Tim Burke, in part for his kickoffs.

The Bombers also released import receiver Isaac Anderson and announced the signing of five players, including kicker/punter Brody McKnight, a 23-year-old who’s spent time with Montreal, Edmonton, Saskatchewan and Hamilton.

The most notable new signing might be that of former NFL receiver Mike Sims-Walker.
