WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers' new brass says Monday's gong show was a communications hiccup that won't happen again.

Interim CEO Wade Miller and his right-hand man, newly minted acting general manager Kyle Walters, addressed the media Tuesday and promised clearly defined roles and better internal communication under their watch.

Walters says Monday's fiasco in which players said they didn't know who was making decisions — demoted quarterback Justin Goltz said he felt betrayed — was extraordinary.

"My concern was it appeared as though the communication at some level was not where it needed to be, and that's been addressed and fixed today, I can assure you of that," Walters said. "What I saw after practice, that will not happen. How you stop that is being open and honest."
