WINNIPEG - Jade Etienne had thought about this moment plenty since the Winnipeg Blue Bombers chose him with the fourth overall pick in the 2011 CFL Draft.
None of those dreams had him waiting until the fifth game of his third CFL season to finally find the end zone.
But given the frustrations and struggles the wide receiver from Regina endured in getting to this point, you can excuse him for enjoying the moment when asked about it following the Blue Bombers 37-24 loss to the Calgary Stampeders on Friday.
"It was nice, very nice," said Etienne, who has 14 catches for 208 yards in 2013 after making five consecutive starts at wide receiver. "I really don't remember it, to be honest."
Video replay should help restore his memorable moment.
With the Blue Bombers trailing 8-0 early in the first quarter, Justin Goltz found Etienne on a slant pattern for a five-yard touchdown strike.
