WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will make at least one lineup change and one strategic one to their offence for Friday’s game against Toronto.

Head coach Tim Burke wouldn’t confirm the roster move Tuesday, but receiver Doug Pierce has been told he’ll play — most likely at the expense of Clarence Denmark.

“When they told me this morning, I was amped,” Pierce said. “I’ve been hyped all day. A year and a half of hard work on that practice squad. I’m ready.”

Pierce made a brief appearance last season, catching three passes in two games.

He’ll give quarterback Buck Pierce a big (6-foot-5) target over the 5-foot-10 Denmark, who was shut out against Hamilton last week and has just four catches in three games.

The other change for the Winnipeg offence will see a reversal of sorts in how Buck Pierce is allowed to play.
