WINNIPEG - It wasn’t anything like Kavis Reed’s near meltdown in Edmonton.

But Blue Bombers head coach Tim Burke, like his counterpart with the Eskimos, has seen enough and plans to make some changes to kick start an anemic attack that has his team at 1-2.

The starting quarterback isn’t one of them.

“There’s a lot of ails right now,” Burke said, Monday. “I know everybody likes to focus on the quarterback. But there's a lot of things going wrong.”

Burke spent a good chunk of his media time going through the laundry list of problems with his offence in the wake of Saturday’s 25-20 loss to Hamilton.

Among the items on his notepad:

  • wide receivers being late with their waggles, throwing the timing off.
  • one wideout “never beat man press coverage once.”
  • poor run blocking in the second half.
  • poor pass protection on the O-line: “We had two sacks they ran the same blitz. Same guy made the same mistake.”

Last as well as least on Burke's list, apparently: Buck Pierce missed three open receivers.
