Blue Bomber head coach Tim Burke on Tuesday wrapped up his last practice before Thursday’s season-opener against Montreal, saying he feels better about his defence and his offence is right where it needs to be.

“I don’t care about the pre-season,” Burke said, referring to the cumulative 76-6 disaster that was Winnipeg’s exhibition schedule.

Two of the reasons Burke is optimist about his defence patrol the middle of it: safety Cauchy Muamba and brother Henoc at linebacker.
