WINNIPEG - Tim Burke feels better about his quarterback situation now than he did four days ago.

It's not like the Bomber head coach didn't believe in Max Hall and Chase Clement. He just needed to see that they could actually throw a football and not be completely confused by a CFL defence.

So far, so good, as Burke said he was surprised the new duo picked everything up as quickly as it did.

"I really feel much more comfortable after mini-camp than going into mini-camp," Burke said. "Not that I wasn't comfortable, but now I feel a lot better."

A CFL source said if the Bombers were going to make a play for Calgary's Kevin Glenn, it would happen between their mini-camp and the draft on May 6. It sounds like Burke is now content with Hall, Clement, Buck Pierce and Justin Goltz.
