WINNIPEG - Max Hall has a bit of an edge on Chase Clement through two days of Bombers mini-camp.

The two new Bomber quarterbacks were on the field this morning at Winnipeg Indoor Soccer Complex for the second session of the three-day camp, and Hall is the more polished of the two gun slingers who are fighting for a roster spot.

But it’s early.

“Max did a great job of understanding the offence, getting the ball out quick,” head coach Tim Burke said after watching the film from Wednesday’s first practice. “Chase was a little bit slower on his reads, but I think that’s only because of Max’s experience with a version of the West Coast offence with Arizona.

“And then the offence he had at BYU was kind of a carry-over from Gary (Crowton’s) offence when he had been there.”
