WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have extended the contract of veteran slotback Terrence Edwards.
The soon-to-be 34-year-old had his third straight 1,000-yard season in 2012, hauling in 70 passes for 1,049 yards, and his experience is critical in the young Bombers dressing room.
Edwards has played eight CFL seasons, five of them with the Bombers, and is fourth on Winnipeg’s career receiving yards list with 6,651 yards. He is a two-time CFL all-star.
“This organization has always been good to me and my family, and I want nothing more than to be able to help this team win a championship,” Edwards said in a press release. “I fully believe in the direction this team is going in, and I look forward to returning to the locker-room and playing in front of our fans at Investors Group Field this upcoming season.”
