The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed punter Brett Cameron, giving the Winnipegger a chance to earn a spot with the team his father became a Hall of Famer with.

The son of Bomber great Bob Cameron, Brett, 22, is a product of St. Paul’s high school and the University of North Dakota.

Undrafted, he had been on Hamilton’s negotiation list.

Cameron finished his senior season at UND with a 42.1-yard average, the fourth-best in school history.
