Bombers GM Mack misses out as Esks scoop up QB Reilly

WINNPEG - He was the one potential solution to the Blue Bombers’ unstable quarterback situation that made a lot of sense.

More sense than signing soon-to-be free agent Adrian MacPherson, the Montreal Alouettes little-used backup.

More sense than handing the ball to the raw Justin Goltz, who’s more acquainted with holding clipboards than taking live snaps.

And certainly more sense than simply sending Buck Pierce back into the fray and crossing their fingers nothing would go wrong, this time.
