WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are making two key lineup changes for Saturday’s critical first-place showdown with the Montreal Alouettes.

As expected, Jamie Boreham will replace Mike Renaud as the punter, Boreham also taking over kickoff duties from placekicker Justin Palardy.

The other change will see veteran centre Obby Khan demoted to a backup role, with guard Brendon LaBatte moving over to anchor the line and Chris Greaves taking over LaBatte’s customary left guard spot.

Head coach Paul LaPolice says moving Khan to the bench is all about performance.

“Last week, if you ask Obby, was probably his worst game this year,” LaPolice said. “He’s gotta continue to play low and play physical football.”

The 9-6 Bombers could move into a tie with 10-5 Montreal in the CFL East with a victory.

The game also serves as the rubber match and tiebreaker between the teams, after a split in their first two meetings of the season.
