Bombers' Johnson Player of the Week

Winnipeg Blue Bombers cornerback Jovon Johnson was named the CFL Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Playing on the third anniversary of his younger brother's tragic death, Johnson intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown, and recorded three defensive tackles.

The Bombers also added seven players to their practice roster as those have been allowed to expand to 12, including two running backs and a quarterback.

With tailbacks Fred Reid and Carl Volny gone for the season with a torn ACLs, Winnipeg has added import running back Bloi-Dei Dorzon and non-import RB Nick Fitzgibbon. The Bombers have also added import QB Adam Froman, import receiver Kurt Adams, import defensive end Quentin Davie, import linebacker Javon McKinnon and import defensive back Darrell Pasco.
