Do you feel even a little bit guilty that in just over a week’s time, thanks to our Swaggerville superstars, the Saskatchewan Roughriders will have an embarrassing 1-9 record?

Me neither. It even does my heart good to see that we’re rubbing it in, having erected, as of Friday, a billboard at Regina’s Albert Street and 5th Avenue comparing season records to date. Go Blue!

Pleased to inform you that beginning Tuesday, Kelly Parker and Dez Daniels will posse up as the new morning team at 99.9 BOB FM, serving “Bob’s Breakfast” to hungry listeners from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. each day. Jay Richardson, who’s been doing the BOB morning show on his own of late, is taking his thunder to Sports Radio 1290, to partner mornings with Banjo Bowl instigator and former Winnipeg Blue Bombers kicker Troy Westwood. HOME GOES HOME

If you looked out your window at 4 a.m. or so Friday morning here in the ‘Peg, and saw a house drive by, you weren’t seeing things. No need to lay off the booze. What you witnessed was a Habitat for Humanity home being moved from its build location on the Red River Ex grounds, through the city to its permanent location at 167 Archibald St.

Reimer Building Movers took just under three hours to make the move, the house now to be finished so a new family can be “home for Christmas.” It all feels so Disney ...

From Monique LaCoste, formerly of College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface (CUSB): “It’s official! On Sept. 1, after 193 years in operation CUSB, Manitoba’s only French-language post-secondary institution, received full university status!” Monique’s official title now becomes co-ordinator of communications, University of St. Boniface.
