WINNIPEG - Head coach Paul LaPolice says he’s still evaluating, but it appears Kito Poblah is ready to make his return to the Winnipeg Blue Bomber receiving corps.

Poblah took turns with the first team offence, Wednesday, replacing fellow non-import Aaron Hargreaves.

Quarterback Buck Pierce says the rookie brings yet another weapon to the offence.

“Some speed, some size, some more playmaking ability that we already have out there,” Pierce said. “We’ve got a lot out there, too, right now. The more weapons you can get in the lineup, the better.”

Poblah, acquired in this year’s supplemental draft, hurt his knee in the season opener in Hamilton, winding up on the nine-game injury list.

If the 6-foot-2, 213-pounder is activated for Winnipeg’s ninth game, in Regina, Sunday, his salary would count retroactively toward the cap, although as a rookie that wouldn’t be a significant hit.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan picked up WR/FB Scott McHenry, Wednesday, barely 24 hours after the Bombers released him.
