WINNIPEG - The Bombers were 0-2 in the pre-season, but they still scored a victory.

The Winnipeg Football Club won a grievance case filed by former quarterback Stefan LeFors, who was seeking $60,000 from the club, according to a source.

LeFors took a pay cut from the Bombers after he lost the starting job early in the 2009 season, but he contended he was injured when that transaction took place and therefore shouldn’t have been forced to lose any salary.

An arbitrator ruled otherwise last month.

“We’re glad this has gained closure, and as a result Mr. LeFors and our club can move forward while certainly wishing Stefan all the best in his future endeavours,” Darren Cameron, Winnipeg’s director of media relations, said Wednesday.
