WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday traded cornerback LaVar Glover to the Edmonton Eskimos for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2012.

Glover had 34 tackles, four pass knockdowns and two interceptions for the Bombers in 2010 before suffering a season-ending groin injury in late September. He was a 2007 West Division all-star in 2007 for the B.C. Lions and has nine interceptions in 71 career CFL games.

The Bombers need a sixth-round draft pick next year because they traded their original selection to the Lions for Kelly Bates in 2009.
