The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed Canadian linebacker Pierre-Luc Labbe, one of their top special teams players.

The 26-year-old from Quebec City was eligible to become a free agent in February.

Labbe, who wears jersey No. 47 because he was the 47th pick in the 2008 draft, led the Bombers with 21 special teams tackles last season and also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone. He chipped in with two defensive tackles as well.

The Bombers also announced they re-signed Canadian offensive lineman Chris Kowalczuk and receiver Josh Bishop, who finished the 2010 campaign on the practice roster.

Winnipeg has nine remaining potential free agents, including defensive back Jonathan Hefney and centre Obby Khan.
