EDMONTON - Jon Oosterhuis took exception to one detail of the story.

Reports suggested Oosterhuis was fined $200 by the CFL for wearing pink gloves during the team’s Oct. 23 game against the Toronto Argos.

Not entirely true, said the Winnipeg Blue Bombers fullback, who wore the pink gloves in support of breast cancer awareness.

“It was $250,” said Oosterhuis.

Otherwise, it seems he’ll gladly play the fine for violating the CFL’s uniform policy.

“I broke the dress code rules, so I got fined,” said Oosterhuis. “I don’t mind.”

Especially, since the fine means more free publicity for his cause.

“I wore the gloves and the results showed for themselves,” said Oosterhuis.
