The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added an offensive lineman and released a defensive lineman.

The Bombers signed former NFLer Kelly Butler and released Fred Perry on Friday.

The 6-foot-8, 350-pound Butler was a sixth-round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 2004, and he started 15 games at right tackle for the team in 2005. He spent part of the 2006 season with the Cleveland Browns before moving on to the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz of Arena Football League 2.

Butler's rights were acquired from the Edmonton Eskimos last April in exchange for defensive back Anthony Malbrough.

The Bombers acquired Perry, 35, from the Eskimos last May in exchange for defensive back Kelly Malveaux. He started eight games before badly breaking his arm in late August, but not before recording 16 tackles and five sacks.
