Fired Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Mike Kelly, in town to clean out his office, declined a request for one final interview today.
"I'm not talking to the Winnipeg media," Kelly said, as he loaded up several bins of personal belongings into a waiting pickup this afternoon. "You guys got what you wanted."
Kelly arrived at the Bombers headquarters late this morning, said goodbye to staff members and some assistant coaches and was gone by 1:30 p.m.
Sources say it was an emotional time for Kelly, who said from the day he was hired just over a year ago that coaching the Bombers was his dream job.
Asked by a reporter how he was doing, Kelly simply said, "I've had better days."
The controversial coach, who had several run-ins with fans and the media during his one season at the helm, was fired just over two weeks ago, after he was arrested on a domestic assault charge at his home in Bridgeport, Pa.
