Arjei Franklin, entering his fourth year with the club, showed great hands in the afternoon rain, bending over to make a juggling grab across the middle.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"They released me, and they went 0-16. My girlfriend's always telling me, 'You dodged that bullet!' "

-- New Bomber cornerback Ronyell Whitaker, who tried out for the Detroit Lions last June but wasn't brought to training camp
