It appears the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be without starting offensive lineman Ryan Donnelly on Saturday in Calgary.
The dependable sixth man-turned-starter watched practice for the third straight day today because of a shoulder injury. That all but means he wonít play against the Stampeders at McMahon Stadium.
Donnelly has started the last four games at right guard in place of the injured Kyle Koch. Donnelly will likely be replaced on Saturday by Matt OíMeara.
Meanwhile, defensive end Kai Ellis, who has a toe injury, is on the field with his helmet today, but he hasnít run any plays with the first-team defence. Ellis didnít practise yesterday or Tuesday, either, so his status appears to be doubtful. Canadian Shawn Mayne has been practising in Ellisí spot all week.
The Bombers (6-9) need one win in their remaining three games or one Toronto loss in its last three contests to secure second place in the East Division.
The Stampeders (10-5) lead the tight West Division and will need a win against the Bombers to remain on top.
