Roberts looking to break out

Charles Roberts isn't a real happy camper these days.

The Bombers may have ended their losing skid last week, but Blink continued to struggle rushing the ball.

Roberts rushed for 36 yards on 14 carries against the Calgary Stampeders, a total that was his third-best rushing game of the season.

He isn't hurt or at odds with anyone in the locker-room; these days he's just perturbed.

"I'm a little frustrated at this point, I wouldn't be human, I wouldn't be a professional if I wasn't frustrated at this point," said Roberts. "I'm fully confident in my abilities and in my offensive lines' abilities to be able to get this thing turned around and we will."

No one is doubting Roberts will turn his season around, it's just that now would be a helpful time to do it. Winnipeg's next three games are against East Division foes and a balanced offence will go a long way in helping the Bombers climb the standings.

Going into tomorrow's game in Toronto there's widespread belief Roberts could bust out of his funk and the stats back that up.

He had his best rushing game of this season in week 1 against the Argos (76 yards and a touchdown) and over his last 10 regular season games against Toronto, excluding this season, he's averaged 109.1 yards and a major per game.

Factor in the average number of rushing yards the Argos have given up this season, a league-high 166.4, and Blink's player of the game nomination could be practically signed, sealed and delivered.

FEEL CONFIDENT

"I don't know what they've done against the run this year. I don't pay very close attention to what a team does from week to week against the run because players come to play differently each week so they could come out on Friday and be the ultimate run stopping team, they could be the Chicago Bears of '86 or whenever it was. Who's to know?

"I feel as good as I have every week, I've felt good going in to every game and I've felt confident going into every game, it just hasn't worked out so far this year. I'm confident that it will eventually.

"I like playing Toronto; hopefully it's like old times."
