Stanford Samuels and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have officially made amends.

The import defensive back agreed to a practice roster agreement with the team yesterday and was expected to arrive in Winnipeg last night. If he made it, he will practise with the team this afternoon.

Samuels played for the Bombers in 2005 and 2006 but left under bitter circumstances in February 2007, accusing GM Brendan Taman of making alterations to a contract offer they had agreed upon.

Samuels instead signed with the Edmonton Eskimos, but they cut him last month during training camp.

The Bombers need Samuels to shore up their defensive depth. He might even play on Thursday against Calgary.
