1. Brendon LaBatte, 6-foot-4, 320 OL (Regina). "Maybe you want to be a bit of a bully and that's OK when you're on the football field." -- Winnipeg head coach Doug Berry

2. Aaron Hargreaves, 6-foot-1, 215-pound WR (Simon Fraser). Has been compared to Hamilton's Chris Baumann.

"He has good speed for a receiver his size, has good fundamentals, is mentally tough ... He went out and competed every time he was on the field and excelled at Simon Fraser." -- Bomber draft co-ordinator Bob Dyce

3. Daryl Stephenson, 6-foot-2, 220-pound RB (Windsor). 2006 Hec Crighton winner (CIS most outstanding player).

"Daryl Stephenson is a big back who can run. We're always looking at the possibilities of backing up Charles Roberts in given situations and perhaps this will allow us some ratio flexibility in having a back who can play tailback and maybe learn to be a blocking back/tailback who can help with our run schemes." -- Berry

4. Marc Beswick, 6-foot-1, 198-pound DB (St. Mary's). "Beswick was probably the best cover guy we had rated in the draft. He has a nice size and he might get a shot as well at safety." -- Dyce

5. Don Oramasionwu, 6-foot-3, 255-pound DL (Manitoba). "He is probably what you would call a raw guy. It was his first year on the field and has true potential." -- Dyce

6. Pierre-Luc Labbe, 6-foot-3, 226-pound LB (Sherbrooke). "An extremely smart individual ... We are looking for people to replace Adrian Baird (signed with Edmonton as free agent) and he'll have an opportunity to do that. He'll come in here and have an opportunity to compete on special teams like all these guys will." -- Dyce
