TOP OFFENSIVE PLAYER

Although he had one of the drops that plagued the Winnipeg receiving corps, Blue Bombers wide receiver Derick Armstrong still latched on to eight passes for 100 yards.

TOP DEFENSIVE PLAYER

Bomber defensive end Gavin Walls was a whirling dervish, especially after fellow DE Tom Canada was lost to injury in the second half. Walls finished the match with one defensive tackle, one quarterback sack, three pass knockdowns and at least three pressures causing incompleted passes.

TOP SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER

Toronto linebacker Raymond Fontaine almost singlehandedly won the game. First, he blocked a Pat Fleming punt and recovered it at the one, setting up the Argos' first touchdown. Then, he forced a fumble to set up Toronto's second TD midway through the fourth quarter.

KEY PLAY

Bomber kick returner Keith Stokes was trying to get a few extra yards on a punt runback when Toronto linebacker Raymond Fontaine punched the ball out of his hands. Cornerback Leron Mitchell recovered at the Winnipeg 20. Two plays later, quarterback Michael Bishop completed a 17-yard touchdown toss to slotback Arland Bruce III to give the Argos a 16-5 lead midway through the fourth frame.

HIGHLIGHT REEL

There wasn't much to choose from but give it to Keith Stokes, who returned a kickoff 55 yards. The exciting runback included many Charles Roberts types of spins and slips.
