MOP talk can wait

Whether you want to call it MOP or MVP, Winnipeg quarterback Kevin Glenn has indeed heard all the talk that he is the leading contender to at least become the Eastern nominee for the CFL's Most Outstanding Player Award.

'"That's something you don't normally want to talk about it because it hasn't happened," he said yesterday. "It's great to be up in the talk about being nominated and that stuff. I'd be lying to ya if I told ya I didn't like it or didn't hear about it.

SAID AND DONE

"But that kind of stuff, well, I want to be the talk of it when it's all said and done. That's when it really counts. It doesn't count in the middle of the season when everybody's talking about it. It counts at the end of the season when that decision's made. If you asked me last year in Week 14 who was the talk of who was the MOP, I couldn't tell ya. But I can tell you who was the MOP last year (B.C.'s Geroy Simon) because that's what sticks out.

"So, you try not to get into it. I try to go out and do everything I can to put my team in a position to win. If you get those wins and all that stuff, those individual accolades will come along with it."
