Blue Bombers tailback Charles Roberts may be 153 yards behind current CFL rushing leader Joe Smith but he is not about to concede his crown to the B.C. running back.

"The rushing race looks over," said Roberts, who is in second spot with 1,043 yards despite a recent dry spell. "Even I look at it sometimes, I'm 100 and whatever yards behind and say it might be over. But I've been behind at this point in the season before and come out on top. I'm not extremely worried about it.

"If I were to come out second behind him, then so be it. Obviously, I'm not going to be happy about it but he is having a great season. It's not like I'm getting beat by a flash-in-the-pan. He's showing his worth to his team this year and I'm happy for him. But the rushing race isn't over yet."
