Kwame Cavil sounds like someone who would have no problem returning to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as the No. 4 receiver.

Even though the club re-signed free agent receiver Chris Brazzell earlier this month, the free agent believes there can be a place for him in a corps that also includes Milt Stegall and Derick Armstrong.

"(Brazzell's signing) makes it tough, I can tell you that," Cavil said last night from Beaumont, Texas. "There's going to be one ball to go around to a whole bunch of people with good hands who want it.

"(But) I don't know, I've played in a system where I didn't have to be the main focal point and still (got) my numbers, so that's not really a big concern."

Bombers GM Brendan Taman has given Cavil and free-agent linebacker Ike Charlton until today to either re-sign with the club or look elsewhere for work. Cavil said he has other options, but it sounds like Winnipeg is his best.

"I'll tell you what: With the options I do have, I'm strongly considering Winnipeg because it's a good little place to play football," Cavil said.

"There's options that are enticing, too, but I can't rule out Winnipeg.

"... I know we got a good chance of winning next year with the guys that we have."

Taman spoke to Cavil's and Charlton's agents yesterday and said both are still contemplating the club's offers.
