Davin Bush is the newest member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The former Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive halfback agreed in principle to a two-year deal (including an option) on Friday and then put his name on the free-agent contract yesterday, according to his agent, Paul Sheehy.

Bombers GM Brendan Taman wouldn't comment on the deal since it hadn't been registered with the league, but he said on Friday that Bush wouldn't be coming to Winnipeg as a backup.

That creates a logjam in the Bombers secondary, which already features halfbacks Anthony Malbrough and Kelly Malveaux, and cornerbacks Omar Evans and Robert Bean.
