Approval ratings on the rise

KIRK PENTON -- Winnipeg Sun

Bomber Nation has spoken, and its message is much more friendly than it was in 2005.

Last year's You Be The Boss survey had fans fuming after the Bombers wallowed in the West Division basement with a 5-13 record.

This year, after a 9-9 regular season and a playoff appearance for the first time since 2003, the more than 350 respondents had a much kinder tone when it came to suggesting who the team should keep or punt and evaluating the decisions it made.

Without further ado, here are the thoughts, feelings and emotions when it comes to your Winnipeg Blue Bombers:

What best sums up the Bombers 2006 season:

48% -- A team that's a Milt Stegall retirement or a Doug Brown defection away from sinking right back in the basement

32% -- A talented team on the verge of a breakthrough

20% -- A talented team that won't go any further until it gets a better starting quarterback
