Four Bombers return to lineup

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be making four lineup changes for tomorrow's game in Hamilton against the Tiger-Cats.

Coming on the roster are offensive lineman Mike Abou-Mechrek, slotback Kwame Cavil, linebacker Ike Charlton and wideout Arjei Franklin.

Sitting out tomorrow's game are slotback Milt Stegall (knee), offensive lineman Marc Parenteau, slotback Andrae Thurman and backup safety John Sullivan.

Also expect to see defensive end Stevie Baggs at linebacker in the 3-4 set.

PARADISE?: The Bombers leave this morning for Hamilton, where the temperature is supposed to be a little warmer and the wind a little less severe than it is in Winnipeg.

The Bombers spent the last four days practising in bone-chilling conditions, especially for the newcomers from the deep south.

"There is nothing this cold -- ever," Baggs said. "It's never this cold in Florida. It's definitely been an adjustment."

The forecast for Steeltown tomorrow calls for sunny skies and a balmy high of 9 C.

"It's going to be like Miami," head coach Doug Berry said. "I just hope our players don't treat it like a vacation."

LATE HITS: Since 2002, the Bombers are 4-4 when coming off a bye week ... The nasty wind over the past few days has dislodged some of the Stadium's temporary south end zone seats, which have been installed for the Grey Cup ... The Tiger-Cats this weekend are honouring their 1986 Grey Cup-winning team, a squad that included five former Bombers: Paul Bennett, Dan Huclack, Frank Robinson, Less Browne and Leo Ezerins ... Argos receiver and former Bomber Keith Stokes will be a healthy scratch for today's game in Edmonton. It's the first time in his career he's been benched ... Ticats QB Kevin Eakin, who will start tomorrow in place of Jason Maas, has a passing efficiency rating of 12.7 this season. To put that in perspective, Maas' rating is 71.8 and Lions QB Dave Dickenson's is 109.1.
