TOP OFFENSIVE PLAYER

Got to give this one to Charles Roberts based on his first half alone. The Winnipeg scatback skedaddled for 99 yards on only 12 carries as the Blue Bombers built a 15-0 halftime lead. He finished with 120 yards on 21 carries and added 18 yards on two receptions.

TOP DEFENSIVE PLAYER

Bomber defensive back Kelly Malveaux was making tackles all over the field, including one where he dropped Argo running back John Avery for a loss. He finished tied with linebacker Barrin Simpson with five defensive tackles apiece.

TOP SPECIAL TEAM PLAYER

He has been showing signs for weeks now but Bombers kick returner Albert Johnson III finally broke out in a big way. His 49-yard missed field goal return sparked Winnipeg's second touchdown and a 38-yard punt return gave the Bombers another lift. Johnson returned five punts for 90 yards and one kickoff for 39 yards. He finished with 101 yards on two kickoff returns, 92 yards on six punt returns and the one missed field goal return.

SMACK OF THE GAME

Bomber safety Kyries Hebert simply stuck Toronto punt returner Keith Stokes, stopping the ex-Bomber in his tracks on one play.

KEY PLAY

Toronto safety Orlando Steinauer picked off a Mike Quinn pass in the end zone with 1:31 left in the game and the Argos desperately holding on to an 18-15 lead. If Winnipeg had held onto the ball, it could have at least attempted a game-tying field goal.

HIGHLIGHT REEL

Bomber kick returner Albert Johnson III fielded Noel Prefontaine's missed field goal 13 yards deep in his own end zone, then raced out to his own 36, with Kevin Eiben making a touchdown-saving tackle. That sparked Winnipeg's second TD.
