The Sun's Kirk Penton sat down with Bombers offensive lineman Dan Goodspeed to learn a little more about him, including his questionable fashion views, his uncanny resemblance to one of the hardest working men in show business and his fascination with bad dancing ...

Who's your favourite Canadian? Shania Twain.

First car? An '86 Chevy Monza. A little hatchback that looks like an Escort. I bought it for 100 bucks when I was 15. My dad (Mark) and I spent the whole year fixing it -- paintig it, putting new engine mounts on it and stuff.

Dream car? Ford F-150, extended cab.

What's your cellphone ringtone? It's just a regular ring, but when one of my friends from college calls it plays Here's to the Night by Eve 6. I lived with six guys in college, and when the first one got married that was the popular song at the time, so we always remember that. It's been played at all our weddings, so I know when they're calling.

Best word to describe you growing up? Does non-athletic count? Nah, but I didn't play sports until I was a junior in high school. Skinny, probably. I was skinny and tall. At 16 I was 6-foot-6, 160 pounds. I graduated high school at 195 pounds.

TV show you're ashamed to say you watch? Dancing with the Stars.

Which Bomber has the most style? It can't be me? I wear a T-shirt with a NASCAR hat. That's style.

Which Bomber would you want with you in a bar-room brawl? That's a good question. I think (Mike) Abou-Mechrek is a fighter. Maybe Abou. I'd take Abou. I'm gonna go with Abou.

Who would play you in the movies? Obviously Nicolas Cage. He was Dr. Goodspeed. Nah, just kidding. Vince Vaughn, I like him. I'd like to be Vince Vaughn, but that's not me. Oh, I know who it is. Charlie (Roberts) thinks that I look like the guy from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Randy Quaid. Charlie thinks I look like Randy Quaid. In fact, I'm always giving him the (points his index finger, clicks his tongue) "Real nice."

Food you won't eat? I don't like liver. I hate liver. I won't even touch it.

Most embarrassing moment? I don't really have one. Sometimes when I step on the field it's an embarrassing moment. Nah, I'm just playin'.

What do you miss most about college? My roommates, partying with my roommates, just living together.

The best day of your life? There's more than one. Getting married and winning the Super Bowl. Probably those two.

How many pairs of shoes do you own? Probably, like, five.

The most famous person in your cellphone directory? Probably one of my old (NFL) teammates. I'm trying to think which one's the most famous. Probably Mike Alstott. He's pretty famous. He's a good dude.

First job? Fry cook at Burger King.

Website you visit most? I only look at three sites: myemail.com, seadoo.net and cfl.ca.

Favourite dog breed? Min Pin (Miniature Pinscher).

Childhood nickname? Goody.

Last movie you saw in a theatre? The worst movie ever: Nacho Libre.

Favourite thing about the CFL? I think you're closest to the fans in the CFL. I think you're closest to the people, so I really like that. And I like the speed of the game. I like how fast everything's moving. Can I say the thing I hate the most? I hate the three downs.

What's in your CD player right now? In my iPod would be Kenny Chesney. Who else do I got new in there? Some Toby Keith, too. I've been listening to a lot of that.

Favourite movie of all time? I've got three. Swingers, Master and Commander, and Rounders. Those are my top three.

Superman or X-Men? Superman.

Last big purchase? Probably my Seadoos. Two RXTs. The big ones. 215 horse, super charged.

Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston? It used to be Angelina Jolie, but I don't know. Kind of weird. I'd go Jennifer Aniston.

What scares you? Probably failure. It's a scary thing for me, not being able to provide for my family. That's really what it is.
