Denny Creehan may be in Florida, but today he's front-and-centre in the search for a new Bomber head coach.
GM Brendan Taman spoke briefly with Creehan yesterday, and will interview the Calgary defensive guru more extensively by phone this morning.
Creehan is the final candidate to make his pitch to replace Jim Daley, fired last month.
"We'll probably narrow it down to four or five (by the end of today)," Taman said. "And hopefully get it down to one by the end of the week."
He'll do that by conducting second interviews with the finalists, likely CFL assistants Doug Berry (Montreal), Greg Marshall (Ottawa), Kent Austin (Toronto), Richie Hall (Saskatchewan) and Creehan.
"We've talked to the guy that's going to be the guy," Bomber president Lyle Bauer said. "We just have to pick the right one."
