Brendan Taman has finished meeting with his players, and the general feeling he got from them was nothing but frustration.

"They just felt we were better than what we showed," the Winnipeg Blue Bombers GM said yesterday.

When asked to elaborate on the focus of players' frustrations, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers GM declined to comment.

Taman and head coach Jim Daley will now meet over the next week or so to discuss a plan of action. They will then present that strategy to president and CEO Lyle Bauer.

Several players have intimated the Sun that they don't want Daley back, but Taman said his neck could easily be in the noose, too, if Bauer doesn't like what he hears.

"We have to change things on how we operate from a whole football operations point of view," Taman said. "I'm in charge of that.

"... Jim can only do so much. He doesn't run a lot of the things that we need to change."

GOING HOLLYWOOD: The Bombers are pushing their award winners hard this week with the West Division media.

Video co-ordinator Daniel Sutcliffe produced a DVD that features the personal highlights of Charles Roberts, Gavin Walls and Jon Ryan.

Media relations manager Jim Timlick mailed copies to three dozen members of the Football Reporters of Canada, who will vote this weekend to determine the East and West Division nominees for the six main league awards.
