The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will celebrate their 75th anniversary by donning golden jerseys when they take to the field on Thanksgiving Monday.

The unique uniforms include navy numbers and white pants, with an old-school W. They will only be worn once year, for the annual Bomber Hall-of-Fame Game.

"They're pretty sweet," said Bomber guard Mike Abou-Mechrek. "I had seen the plain jerseys before but the pants kind of bring it all together and kind of give it an old-school kind of look."

Abou-Mechrek and wide receiver Chris Brazzell modeled the new unis before last night's Legacy Dinner where some of the team's all-time greats were recognized.

"It's a special memory," said club president/CEO Lyle Bauer. "The gold, I think, sends a message as far as the colour and it is very different from what many people have around the league. It is unique and little bit retro-style look and it's a very special uniform with a very special meaning behind it that we want to hold close to our hearts."

Replica jerseys will be sold at the Bomber Store for $99 each.

NOTEABLE: The Bombers have signed former Edmonton non-import WR Scott Robinson ... Newly-acquired DB Anthony Malbrough (hamstring) will not play against B.C. on Monday.
