Putting 'touch' on Renegades

Syniker Taylor is going to "touch" some people tomorrow night.

It's not the nice kind of touching, however. In fact, it's probably going to hurt.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive back will face his old team -- the Ottawa Renegades -- tomorrow night at Frank Clair Stadium.

Taylor was on the Renegades' practice roster for the first 10 weeks of the season until the Bombers plucked him off it last week.

Taylor made his Bomber debut as a starting halfback on Saturday against Saskatchewan, and he'll be the dime back tomorrow.

He plans to make his former team take notice of what they could have had.

"I'm gonna say I'm not mad and bitter, but I demand respect. I'm going to put it like that," Taylor said, flashing his golden toothy smile. "After this game, they're gonna have to respect me as a player.

"... I plan on just going over there and touching people, being physical -- real physical."

LATE HITS: Winnipeg is making two roster changes for tomorrow night's game. S Shawn Gallant, another former Renegade, goes on for WR Chad Rempel (eye), and CB Omar Evans replaces DB Santino Hall, who probably would have stayed on the roster had his knee not swollen up after Tuesday's practice. Brad Franklin will move back to his halfback spot and Stanford Samuels will be at the other one.
